It’s true that social media is an important piece of the puzzle when it comes to digital marketing. It’s been this way since the social media sites have come onto the scene! However, a lot has changed since then. These days, we have AI in our lives, and digital marketers are standing at a crossroads. How will AI fit into their lives? How can it be used for something like social media?

We don’t believe that AI should do the work for us. We should be doing the actual writing for the social media posts. However, we can use it as a means to making our lives easier, much like an assistant would. Here’s more information:

Assist with Generating Topic Ideas

You can use AI to assist with content creation without having it do the actual writing. You can have it do tasks such as:

  • Brainstorm lists of ideas for topics to post on social media on a specific niche, topic, or industry.
  • Customize post topic ideas for specific social media platforms – each one is unique!
  • Assist with writing elements of the post, such as call to actions. You can have AI generate possibilities, and then you can customize these to fit your own, unique writing style.
  • Create unique spins on existing content to leverage what you already have.

In other words, you can use AI is a brainstorming assistant to help you generate topic ideas and maybe even give options for unique ways of looking at existing topics. This will help you create social media posts that are unique and on brand.

Use AI for Social Media Data Analysis

Somewhere along the way of your social media strategy, you will need to analyze data. Whether you are just getting started creating a social media strategy, or you need to make adjustments to an existing strategy, it’s important to analyze the data. These days, AI can help with that. Here’s a look at how:

  • AI Powered Analytics. There are some AI-powered analytics tools that can help with this. These tools do things like track metrics (such as click through rate), track analyze demographics, and compare and analyze performs of each social media post.
  • Opinion Mining. You can use AI to do something called Opinion Mining, which is also referred to as sentiment analysis. This is where AI is used to analyze text for emotional tone. It is a great tool to use if you are trying to analyze people’s perceptions of your brand. This is a vital part of analysis as a whole.
  • Audience Behavior. AI is also a great tool to use to help you determine audience behavior. By understanding audience behaviors, you can adjust your social media strategy accordingly.
  • Trend Predictions. When it comes to social media, you want to get a pulse on trends. AI can help with that. From this information, you can determine what kinds of posts to create to connect your audience while also have a forward-thinking approach.

While you should always write your own content, you can use AI to help with social media. It should be used as an assistant, but not a replacement for doing the work.
