Static Content Writing Using AI

Written by Nick Stamoulis

Static content is content that rarely or never changes. This can include website homepages, website pages, case studies, landing pages, and ebooks, just to name a few. Benefits of static content include being easy to create, low cost, and easy to distribute. There are also some downsides to static content, such as because it never changes, it can become boring and it also won’t be indexed by search engine crawlers on an ongoing basis. AI (artificial intelligence) is being used for all types of writing these days, so the natural question to ask is: is it okay to use AI to write static content? Here are some things to consider:

Lack of Creativity

One of the disadvantages of using AI in order to generate static content is that it can lack creativity and a personal touch. When you write, you have your own personality and tone. If you use AI to create content, this is going to be missing. While the writing itself might be good, your readers may notice the difference, especially if they enjoy your tone and way of stringing words together.

AI can be beneficial if you’re looking to create static content that doesn’t require any personality or creativity, but be picky when deciding what to use it for. If you decide to go this route, you will need to double check for plagiarism. Because AI-powered tools rely on data and algorithms, it’s possible that it will produce static content that is plagiarized. That being said, some static content doesn’t need to be overly creative, so if you choose to use AI, use it for these types of pieces.

Can Generate Quick Content

If you need static content written quickly, AI is a good option. If you’re lacking manpower or the ability to hire people to write static content, AI can be helpful. AI can create a lot of static content in a faster amount of time than a human can write them. If you’d rather focus on creating your blog posts, social media posts, and guest posts, you might not want to invest too much of your time on static content. Using AI can help you to increase content production while being cost-effective.

Low Emotional Intelligence

Using AI can provide you with well-written, high-quality static content, but it will lack the emotional intelligence that you might prefer. If you’re attempting to connect to your audience in your ebooks or on the homepage of your website, you may find something missing that will help in this goal. While the content may explain the subject matter well in an easy-to-understand way, it’s up to your discretion if that’s enough for your audience. As mentioned, some pieces of static content may be more suitable for AI than others. Consider your goal before deciding if AI or a human will write static content.

AI can be a useful assistant for helping to create static content, but it’s important to be aware of the issues that can arise and not to blindly trust what’s been created. If you’re willing to do some editing, check for plagiarizing, and adding in your own personality, AI can be a helpful tool.
