Sure, knowing your demographics can help with this, but on top of that, you also need to establish your goals.

The main objective, then, isn’t to necessarily get more traffic. You need to learn how to connect with your audience. So, getting the right traffic, and then making sure the traffic is aligned with your goals, is really only part of the story. Is your website actually set up to convert? If it isn’t, then you could be missing out on some potential business. Getting the right traffic to your website will only get you so far. Not only does your traffic need to align with your goals, but your website needs to, as well. They both work together.

As you can see, targeted traffic is important. However, just targeting your demographics alone won’t be enough. You need to be sure that you are clear on your business goals, otherwise you won’t connect with the right people in order to grow your business. Your website also has to be optimized to maximize your goals.
