Page Load Time and Its Effect on SEO
Writing by Brick Marketing in SEO
A slow page load time can be attributed to where the site is hosted, but it can also be caused by the content on the website itself. A page can take longer to load if it has large images that weren’t optimized for the web, or erroneous pieces of code left over from CRMs and other software programs that were used with the site, but are no longer needed.
Slow page load affects SEO as Search Engines look at user experience when ranking. A clean and well organized web page is easier to index and is easier to find. Cleaning up your web pages not only helps to improve SEO, but it gives your site better usability which helps to attract and keep visitors.
In this week’s video lesson, Nick Stamoulis explains the importance of page load time and its impact on your site’s Search Engine Optimization.
