First things first. There are tons of SEO firms out there that are looking for your business and their contract rates can vary greatly. It can be confusing to see similar looking services that are priced so differently from one another. If you know very little about SEO, it’s easy to just go with the cheapest option. Don’t do it. The price of the work should correlate with the quality of the work and if it’s really cheap, it’s definitely too good to be true. Unless you can afford to hire a reputable white hat SEO firm that will do the work well, don’t bother. It’s much better to spend the money on investing in your own SEO knowledge and working at it on your own to build some momentum.

Once your site is in a better position to succeed, then the investment in an SEO firm will be worth it.
