What to Avoid When Link Building

Writing by Brick Marketing in Link Building

From blog rolls to links from unrelated website and even paid inbound links, there are many ways to get bad links to your website. When building links, they need to be relevant to your website. You also shouldn’t get links from websites offering to put your link on their page for a fee and should avoid sites that are ad heavy. It seems these days that there are so many types of inbound links that someone could build to their website. The key is to not stray black hat and keep all of your links relevant to the audiences of your website.

The links that you build within your link portfolio should build naturally over time. If you take a white hat approach to SEO link building then your chances drastically increase as well. Writing press releases, posting great content, and forming business partnerships are all good ways to get quality links to your website.

In this week’s SEO link building video lesson, Nick Stamoulis of Brick Marketing outlines what not to do when link building as part of your overall SEO strategy.
